Grafill Bergen: Mystery Trip through the Dinamo Dark Room

Dinamo Typefaces (CH/DE) is coming to Bergen to have a talk about their design practice and is hosting an experimental two days workshop on variable font design.

Dinamo

Dinamo is a Swiss design practise established by Johannes Breyer and Fabian Harb in 2013 after studying in Zurich, Basel and Amsterdam and having worked with Laurenz Brunner and NORM.

They have been responsible for the catalogue of the 26th Brno Biennale 2014 and the identity of the 9th Futurological Congress, among other graphic design projects. Next to their retail typefaces “Grow", “Pareto", “Favorit", “Prophet" and “Galapagos", they have been designing exclusive alphabets, e.g. Kunsthalle Zurich, Yale Architecture, Manifesta 11, Harvard Graduate School of Design and German, Estonian and Cyprian Pavilions at the Venice Biennale.

Since 2013, they have been teaching workshops and courses at several universities in the Czech Republic, Switzerland, Germany, Estonia and France. In 2017, Dinamo was awarded the Swiss Design Award by the Swiss Federal Office of Culture. Johannes Breyer and Fabian Harb are members of the AGI (Alliance Graphic Internationale).

For the business people amongst us we’ll take a glimpse into 1 year of collected sales statistics try to fortune-tell where all of this might be going.

Date: Friday 8. November
Place: Pamflett - Magnus Barfots gate 25, 5015 Bergen
